The Secret Garden
Tea Room and Gift Shop
in historic Herbert Williams House
About Us
After fifteen years at Factoria Mall in Bellevue, WA, The Secret Garden relocated to a beautiful
Victorian Mansion in Sumner, WA in 2006. The charm of the original Queen Anne and Italianate architecture provides an
elegant, yet warm ambiance in which to enjoy a scrumptious lunch or a traditional English-style Tea Set served on a 3-tier stand.
We are proud to say that all of our food is prepared in-house with our own "from scratch" recipes. We even grow many of
our herbs in our gardens. We highly recommend reservations so you are not disappointed by a long wait for a table.
Our gift shop is stocked with tea-time treasures and a variety of delightful gifts including our own loose-leaf teas, fanciful jewelry
and accessories, and charming floral accent for your home.
Our dining rooms are decorated with china
and antique glassware from the owner’s collection. Of course we decorate the rooms for the holidays with our personal collections
as well. We invite you to come wander in our front gardens and enjoy the beauty of this Victorian treasure.
Our home, The Herbert Williams House, built in 1890, is on the National Historic Register. Originally a hops farm, the house has had many uses over the years, including a restaurant in the 1960’s and is in remarkable condition
for its storied past. We are very honored to be the current caretakers of this stately beauty.
