Group Information

We love to have groups visit The Secret Garden!  Our kitchen is fairly small, so to best accommodate large parties, we have developed the following plan which ensures pleasing service for all our guests. 

 

We can seat up to 10 persons at one table in our parlor dining room.  Open menu is available and an 18 % gratuity will be added for parties greater than 6 persons.

 

At 10:00am or 3:40pm, on weekdays or Sundays we are able to accommodate groups of 11or more.  Groups of 14-24 will have exclusive use of a dining room for up to two hours.  Groups of 25-40 will have exclusive use of the restaurant for 2 1/2 hours.  The minimum charge per person is $22.00 including tax and gratuity.   The hostess may arrange for a special menu to be served, or we offer the following luncheon or high tea packages for $22.00 per person including tax and gratuity:

 A minimum charge of $242 will be assessed for all group reservations.  If your group participation diminishes to less than 14 attendees, please let us know prior to two weeks (14 days) before your event, so that we may fill the dining room with other patrons.  With less than two weeks notice, we are unable to waive this minimum.

 

Cancellation of the event must be made at least 14 days prior to the event.  If you must cancel within the two weeks prior to the event, there will be a $50.00 reneging fee for 7-13 days notice, $150.00 for 4-6 days notice, and $250.00 for 1-3 days notice.

 

The day before the event, the hostess must call with the number of expected guests for the final billing count.  Once we have this number, this is how many persons we prepare food for and charge for on the final bill.  The food for any guests who do not come will be boxed for the hostess.  If we do not get a call with the number of expected guests, we will use the highest of the estimated number of guests given to us at the time of making the reservations.

 

Large parties will be presented with one check.  For non-hosted events, we suggest the contact person collect the fee from each attendee as they reserve to prevent no-shows or last minute cancellations.
