Luggage Limitations
Luggage is limited to 1 medium sized suitcase. There is space under the seats for your day bag (tote with your purse, water bottle, camera, tablet, sweater or jacket, etc.) You will need clothing for a variety of weather situations; average temperature ranges from below freezing to the mid 50’s, and it may be extremely cold at the top of Mt. Washington.
Meals
We will begin each day with breakfast in our hotel. Lunch will be on your own, but most days a light snack will suffice, since our big meal each day will be afternoon tea, usually at 3:00. The tea rooms we visit will vary from cozy little cafes to elegant hotels, and one day, we will have an afternoon tea picnic tea along the way.
Dinners will be on your own, except for three special dinner experiences.
We will have free time a few afternoons of the trip, so you can have a light lunch on your own those days.
Lodging
The hotels we have selected are 3 and 4 star accommodations. Whenever possible, we choose charming boutique hotels over chains, but in several locations, there are not any options. In these cases, clean and comfortable won the day. But don’t worry…there are several very special places on our itinerary.
All prices are based on double occupancy. If you do not have a roommate accompanying you on the trip, you will be
matched with another un-paired traveler. There are a limited number of single rooms available (on a first request basis) for an additional fee.
Transportation
You are responsible for transport the hotel in Boston, which is a short taxi or Uber ride from the airport.
We will travel in a comfortable large luxury passenger van, but this trip also includes three boat cruises, a trolley tour, two train excursions, and an aerial tram ride up a mountain. The amount of walking on this trip is largely self-determined by how much you’d like to see.
We will return to Boston, and drop you at the airport on the final day of the tour.
