Enjoy a day on Whidbey Island!  We will leave Sumner at 8:00 am and will enjoy a cup of hot tea and harvest muffin as we travel to Mukilteo where we'll drive aboard the Washington State ferry for a quick (half hour) cruise to Clinton.

Our first stop will be the quaint village of Langley, where you will have a couple of hours of free time to enjoy a light lunch and browse through the gift and antique shops and  galleries.

We will then travel to the northern end of Whidbey Island, where you will hop aboard a catamaran jet boat for a fantastic and informative tour through Deception Pass.  Be sure to dress in layers and bring a warm jacket.

While you are on the water, we will be setting up a formal English Afternoon Tea in a rustic, stone and log picnic shelter in Deception Pass State Park, bulit by the CCC in the 1930's.  Unless it's unseasonably warm, we will build a roaring fire in the huge stone fireplace. 

 

You will have time to beach comb or walk the trails at the park before we cross the famous bridge and then start our journey back to Sumner, where we will arrive around 8:00 pm.
