Beginning in July, we will no longer be offering a full lunch menu. Over the last few years, we have seen afternoon tea service become a much larger percentage of our business and correspondingly, lunch service has decreased. The amount of time it takes to have the entire lunch menu prepared, when so few each day are ordering it, is no longer practical. Our menu offers a variety of tea sets, some of which are more “lunch-like”, and we’ll offer a Cottage Garden Luncheon which will vary each day. We will utilize our tried and true recipes for these daily specials. TEA ROOM MENU TEAMENUS
We have a great selection of vintage/antique dishes, silverware, glassware and linens available to rent for special events. We offer English bone china and American Farmhouse china, in both traditional matched sets and mismatched groupings. Share your ideas with us and we can help you style the event of your dreams. CHINA RENTAL
We still have a couple of spots available on our New England Tea Tour to see the fall leaves in early October. We’ll meet in Boston and travel through Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Rhode Island. If you love the afternoon tea experience, join us for a small group specialty tour. See our Tea Tour website for details. TEA TOURS
IN HISTORIC HERBERT WILLIAMS HOUSE
The Secret Garden is located in a beautiful Victorian Mansion in Sumner, WA. The charm of the original Queen Anne and Italianate architecture provides an elegant, yet warm ambiance in which to enjoy a scrumptious lunch or a traditional English-style Tea Set served on a 3-tier stand. Our gift shop is stocked with tea-time treasures and a variety of delightful gifts, fanciful jewelry and clothing, and charming accents for your home.
Our new summer merchandise collections have arrived and we’re featuring a garden fresh herb collection in shades of green and purple. Our charming French Poppy group is continuing as well as tea cups in a sweet vintage floral print. More clothes, jewelry, scarves and handbags arrive often, so stop in to take a look at what’s new!
Enjoy a fun afternoon exploring booths set up by vintage, antique and upcycled home décor dealers and select artisans at a “french flea market” inspired vintage market in our garden. We will be setting up a booth serving tea and scones and some other lovely snacks and sweet treats.
We will announce fall classes in September. .
