IN HISTORIC HERBERT WILLIAMS HOUSE
The Secret Garden is located in a beautiful Victorian Mansion in Sumner, WA. The charm of the original Queen Anne and Italianate architecture provides an elegant, yet warm ambiance in which to enjoy a scrumptious lunch or a traditional English-style Tea Set served on a 3-tier stand. Our gift shop is stocked with tea-time treasures and a variety of delightful gifts, fanciful jewelry and clothing, and charming accents for your home.
You can make reservations up to 45 days in advance!
We will be implementing some changes beginning in February.
Celebrate the sweeties in your life with our
5 course Valentine Tea!
Chocolate Fondue caps off our special afternoon tea during February. This fanciful tea set begins with a pot of tea and a toasting flute of sparkling cider (or upgrade to wine!) and a cup of our homemade soup. A sorbet course will cleanse the palate before you enjoy scones with all the goodies. Our beautiful tiered rack follows with an array of tea sandwiches and savories, as well as an assortment of fruits and goodies to dip in the molten chocolate fondue we will bring out at the end of your meal. See our special events page for the details.
As usual, we will be spending most of January at market, selecting great items for our gift shop.
Some market trends that I’ve already seen while perusing vendor catalogs for 2019 are gold (both shiny and matte), checks- small gingham and buffalo plaid, bright watercolor-style florals and vintage looking enamelware. Indigo blue seems to be big as well.
I will report more on facebook as we put together our merchandise collections.
